It all started at the beginning of the 1900s when a new immigrant, Harry Brownstein, arrived in America and entered the smoked fish business with his horse-drawn wagon. Dedication, diligence, long days and sacrifice were the experiences learned first by Mr. Brownstein and then taught to and passed on to the second, third and fourth generations of family members. Acme brings more than 80 years experience to the art of smoking fish. Only the finest fish from all over the world are cured and processed in our ultramodern facility in Brooklyn, New York.
